These DB-19 connectors (19-pin D-SUB) were newly manufactured in 2024 for Big Mess o’ Wires. These are the same DB19s sold with the BMOW Floppy Emu and other BMOW products.
This is a bulk lot of 500 pieces. The connectors are DB-19 male, with solder cup terminals, solder type connector, sometimes called DB-19P. They are first quality, with an all-metal shell, not something 3D-printed or hand-built. It’s the connector itself (it does not have a shroud), and they can be used for making cables, or can also be edge-mounted on a 1.2mm or 1.6mm thick PCB. A footprint file for edge-mounting is available upon request. They are packaged in plastic trays of 50 pieces each, with 10 trays (500 pieces) per box.
The DB-19 is needed for several vintage computers: it's the standard connector for floppy disk drives on Apple II and early Macintosh systems, the Macintosh HD-20 hard disk, the Atari ST hard disk ACSI port, and for making monitor cables for NeXT computers.
Today the DB-19 connector is hard to find, expensive, and large lots like this one are rare. I’m offering them here to help support the rest of the vintage computing community.
